Reviewing cigars and the lifestyle surrounding them.
“CAO LX2” Robusto
This light brown cigar had a smooth, toothless wrapper with no visible veins and a slight oil sheen. The pre lit aroma consisted of dry tobacco and black pepper notes. The ash was light grey in color and the burn was flawless for the entire stick. The draw was slightly on the loose side, providing good amounts of medium bodied smoke. The first third was providing flavors of a dry tobacco with smooth and creamy coffee notes on the draw with a building pepper note on the finish. Reaching the second third, the body had ramped up to full and all the flavors previously mentioned ramped up as well. On the draw, a smooth and creamy coffee with tobacco notes and a big pepper blast on the finish. The final third showed another transition of the creamy coffee flavors taking on a vanilla and spice coffee blend which was very nice. The finish still consisted of pepper and newly added roasted nut notes. As for strength, I was feeling the nicotine buzz however, not much more strength then an MX2 would deliver. Try the LX2 if you can! Stay Toasting!
